Teacher education in digital and media literacy: providing guidance, resources and support for teacher trainers in Europe
The purpose of the project is to establish a value added and sustainable network providing guidance, resources and support for European teacher educators and trainers in MIL and in so doing, to directly advance students’ abilities to tackle disinformation. TeaMLit partners will gather and share knowledge, pilot promising approaches, develop training materials and conduct a large scale multiplier campaign.
The TeaMLit Network brings together teacher educators who work in media literacy in either pre-service teacher training in colleges, or in-service teacher training (Continuing professional development) settings. Members of this Network will share experience, know-how, and resources as well as to identify opportunities for collaboration. It will also support newcomers interested in providing media literacy training and educational opportunities to teachers at all levels of education. The Network will accomplish this by setting up communications channels, online meetings, workshops, managed repositories, and other means to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and resources.
As a member you will be invited to participate in online meetings every three months for the next 18 months (6 sessions) and to exchange your education practice with colleagues from other countries in Europe.
