What is this site?
www.mediakasvatus.fi is a national media education portal, also in English www.mediaeducation.fi. The web-portal is for professional educators and workers, researchers, students, voluntary organisations and parents in the field of media education. The mission of the portal is to increase awareness of media education and provide material resources for users. The administrator and developer of the system is Finnish Society on Media Education.

What is Finnish Society on Media Education?
The Finnish Society on Media Education is an association partly funded by Ministry of Education and Pohjola-Norden (Centralförbundet för folkligt nordiskt samarbete). Our aim is to support and develop the field of research and practises concerning media education, contribute to the public debate and provide opportunities to share media educational experiences online and offline.
